Before leaving
Charge your phone, save emergency numbers and share the route with the group. Check rain, Metro service and police notices on the day rather than relying on an old screenshot.
- Wear comfortable footwear and carry water where permitted
- Choose a named meeting point in case the group separates
- Plan the return journey before the final pandal
- Keep the itinerary short enough to change without frustration
While moving
Open one leg at a time. If a road is barricaded, use the signed pedestrian route and regenerate the next leg after the diversion instead of forcing the saved line.
What to do in a crowd
Follow police and venue instructions, keep children close, avoid stopping at queue exits and move to the side before checking your phone. Call 112 in an emergency.
